Surprise 3D Card Project

Surprise 3D Card Project

Posted 2013-12-11 by Mina Keenanfollow
Simple cards made from things around the house can be really effective - here's an example.

Art and Craft Supplies

  • Old book
  • Card blank
  • Wrapping paper
  • Card
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Watercolour paints
  • White gel pen

  • The gift image was loosely cut from wrapping paper.

  • An old book page was torn to frame the gift image.

  • Kids cheap pan watercolour was applied to the book page to make it match the card blank. Just slapped on, nothing fancy.

  • A spiral was cut from card to add a surprise 3D element on opening.

  • Flower shapes were painted on a book page and cut out.

  • Small, round flower centres were cut from card to match and glued to them.

  • The flowers were glued to the spiral.

  • A book page was torn to make frames for the spiral and to make the card look consistent in appearance.

  • A small piece of black card with a message on it was glued centre spiral.

  • Use this example to make your own cards!

Want the image on the front of the card?

    Have fun!
