Method
Print out the vine border. Make evenly spaced holes with the awl around outer edges.
Crochet:
First Row: work single crochet into each hole. Work 3 single crochet into corner holes. Join with slip-stitch.
Second row: Work treble into each stitch, three trebles into corner stitches and join with slip-stich.
Third row: Work 5 chain, 1 single crochet into next stitch. Join with slip-stich. Fasten off.
Watercolour:
Kids cheap pan paints are fine for this. We just want to add colour, we are not concerned with staying in lines or anything.
Choose three colours and just dab paint on approximately. I used purple for grapes, green for leaves and red for contrast.
Sewing:
Attach Buttons: Make holes with the awl. Thread from front to back and tie buttons, clipping threads on right side of card. Work a few knots to secure.
Attach Beads: Make one hole for each bead with the awl. Thread from back to front, going through the bead and back into the same hole to the back of the card topper. Fasten off securely.
Tie a bow and attach from back to front. Add a bead if desired.
