Follow along to crochet a granny square.

Work the first group of trebles in the round.

Just follow through slowly, things will become apparent in time.

Working a Treble Stitch

Put hook through first chain loop

Yarn over hook

Pull yarn through two loops on hook

Foundation chain has been joined by a slipstitch

Work 3 chain to form first treble of group

Join foundation chain.
Chain for first treble.

Working a Treble Stitch

Yarn over hook

Pass needle through chain circle

Yarn over hook

Pull yarn through 2 loops on hook

Yarn over hook

Pull yarn through 2 loops on hook

You have made a treble stitch

Make another treble

There are 3 trebles (the first one made up of 3 chain). This is a group. This granny square is made up of groups.
