Bookplate Series 1 2

This bookplate was made around 1676 by David Loggan for Sir Thomas Isham and depicting the latter's coat of arms.



The motto on the top banner 'Ostendo non ostento' meaning 'I do not show off, I show'.

On the lower banner are the words: On things transitory, regreth no glory.
