Repair a Crochet Blanket

I made a blanket 10 years ago. Going through some bags in the shed there it was in all its forlorn glory. Granny square blanket using double crochet stitch.

Ends had come undone, stitches had disappeared. Time to spruce up this old girl.

Had to join some orange wool, (closest orange I could find) as the end had been cut when I made it. Need some working room.

Using a double crochet (or treble UK) stitch, do the first draw up (YOH or yarn over hook) catching the place thread in the bottom space indicated in the photo.

Repeat as above but catching the place thread in the top space as in the photo.

This is how the adapted stitch turns out. Pretty pleased.
