Fold some card in half to make covers. They can be any size you like.

Hello Mina,
Used to do this as a kid, but used staples i/o thread.

When I got a batch of paper, smooth cut tops, I'd wrap a few rubber bands around it about 1" from top, & pour glue over top. Stand it in an upright position, near a window, to dry.
Always then had 'rip-off' Notebook at the ready for phone messages! Lol! Cheers!
