Cut a piece of card in your choice of colour for the main card component. I cut my piece of card 12x24cm. You will need a ruler, pencil and scissors for this unless you have pre-cut card.
Fold the piece of card into thirds. You can measure with a ruler and fold, or simply adjust it with your hands.
Cute an oval out of the middle panel of your card. You can cut an oval or any other shape you like including: squares, rectangles, circles, triangles, love hearts, trees, etc. This will create a frame for the front of your card for something to feature in the centre.
Cut out or draw an image that will feature on the cover of your card. Mine is halloween themed because of the colour card I chose to use. Other themes include: Birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, births, a message on the front. (I have previously done this card in an Alice in wonderland theme, it works with anything).
If you want a different coloured card to feature inside the frame then glue this on now to the panel that you will fold over and glue to make the front cover.
I have also glued a white piece of card on the panel I will write my message on.
Glue the panel to the cutout frame once the things you want inside the frame are glued down.
Stick any other details on the front, inside or around the frame. You can draw on any extra details if you wish. You can add: stickers, gems, borders and even messages.
Write your message inside and enjoy your new homemade card!
