I just logged into your website and am immediately loving it! I know some people are touchy about their age, but I hope you're not! I will be 62 in June. When I was little and in Girl Scouts (probably Brownies at that age), we did a project using roll-on deodorant bottles. I have no idea what it could've been. I still use roll-on (Avon and Mumm) and have always wondered what craft project they could be used for. My daughter will be 23 in May and has two beautiful daughters. I have passed on my crafting abilities to my daughter, who has a gift for art and poetry. I'd like to pass it on to my granddaughters, too. Have any idea what the roll-on bottles could be used for? If not, do you have a network of people who just might know? I would be forever grateful if you could help me out! ~ Ann
Thanks so much for your comments - crafting knows no age barrier!
Good on you for sharing your creativity around.
A few ideas that come to mind - dollies - Japanese Kokeshi dolls, soldiers.
Christmas santas, elves, angels. All manner of animals. These would basically involve
stuck on papers/cardboard and shapes over a painted base. Facials and details put on with
permanent marker and glittery bits and bobs added.
Receptacles for homemade gel soaps and scents. Holders for homemaid kids paints.
When I get my hands on some of these bottles I will definitely expand on these ideas.
